Time to muster - Angels of Death

With a test of painting complete for October it is time to muster the first army for the Second War for Armageddon, the Blood Angels.

As with October I plan to enter, or at least paint along with, another Instagram challenge for the next phase of the Blood Angels army. This time its the 40k 2nd Edition Army Challenge 3, where participants paint 2nd edition 1000points in 6 months, documenting their progress. Ive followed previous editions of this challenge and been amazed by the models people paint, so hopefully I can add my own to the tally.

I have prepared an army list and broken it into 5 parts, with month 6 as a catch up or additional unit entry. Taking inspiration from the 40k 2nd Edition box art and Angels of Death 2nd Edition Codex I plan to paint my Blood Angels as 3rd Company, capturing as many of the details as possible from the various pieces of art of the time. 

Many of the models I will be painting I have owned since the early 90's, while others are recent ebay purchases. My list and plan for the challenge is as follows;

• Lexicanum Librarian with force axe 53+5=58pts
• Techmarine with servo harness 33+10=43pts

• Space Marine Land Speeder 145pts
• Space Marine Rhino with Auto Launchers 50+5=55pts

• Squad Leader with bolter
